SHEET METAL WORKER/FABRICATOR - 1ST CLASS About Our Client Our client is a sheet metal manufacturing company that produces roofing and rainwater goods. About the Role Due to expanding shifts, a role has become available for a sheet metal tradesperson in a small, tight-knit team. The metal fabricator will work Monday to Friday with a small team in the factory. The role involves receipting paperwork and manufacturing/fabricating sheet metal goods to order. Fabricate, weld, and produce various rainwater goods (downpipes, rainwater heads etc.) Light gauge steel fabrication work General machine operation About You You're able to work both autonomously and in a team and have a good eye for detail. You have at least 3 years of experience in a sheet metal factory, working on light gauge steel fabrication (stainless steel/aluminium/mild steel/colorbond) and have experience slitting to length lines. You're able to operate a forklift and various machines (Turret punch, brake presses, folding machines, guillotines, etc.). Strong English & math skills and the ability to interpret drawings/3D shapes (tapered flashings) are a must. 3 years experience in a sheet metal factory, with trade work Light gauge steel fabrication experience AQF Certificate III (Metal Fabricator) or equivalent qualification preferred If you are applying from overseas, please be aware that the successful applicant must self-fund (pay for) and pass: Skill Assessment (costs approximately $3500AUD) IELTS English testing (costs approximately $300) What's on Offer: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week overtime opportunities) $35 - $40 per hour (AUD) Shift loading (higher rate of pay for afternoons/nights) Superannuation North Brisbane location Relocation and visa assistance for the right applicant
