Early Childhood Educator -Certificate III
Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator -Certificate III will work as part of a passionate and capable team committed to enriching the future of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. You will assist in implementing learning experiences that support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development, under the guidance of Diploma or Degree-qualified educators. To assist in delivering an early childhood education program which complies with relevant regulations, quality standards and codes of practice. Work closely with MAC staff, collaborate with management, other service providers and the community to maximise outcomes for children.
In this key role, you will:
· Assist in providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that supports the cultural identity, safety, and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and community.
· Support the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, values and cultural knowledge in daily practice.
· Support the delivery of high-quality education and care in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant legislation.
· Work under the guidance of Diploma and Degree qualified educators to implement learning experiences that promote children's development.
· Contribute observations of children's learning and behaviour to assist the Diploma or Degree qualified educators in documenting and planning programs.
· Assist in implementing learning experiences that support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development, under the guidance of Diploma or Degree qualified educators.
· Contribute to a culturally safe service that honours Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and community connections.
· Provide nurturing care while maintaining high levels of supervision of children.
· Demonstrate sound knowledge of early childhood development best practice.
· Work independently and manage time efficiently.
· Maintain confidentiality and professional integrity
This position requires willingness to provide, complete and submit evidence prior to commencement of employment of:
· Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
· Valid Employee Victorian Working with Children Check.
· Current First Aid and CPR certification (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis management) (or willingness to obtain).
· Current Driver's Licence and National Police Check.
· Completion of Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector training (within the last 12 months).
· Completion of DoFoodSafely online training (within the last 12 months) (or willingness to obtain).
