The Role
We are recruiting experienced Bakers who have proven experience with artisan breads to join our Head Baker, Brendon Woodward, and his team to deliver our excellent and well-loved product to our community. Our boulangerie operates 7 days a week, from 4am to 11pm will be focused on bread production, so we are only seeking candidates with bread experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain optimal stock control and storage conditions at all times
* Ensure your section is fully prepared and ready for service each day
* Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment
* Minimise waste and manage it in line with operational standards
* Uphold food safety, risk, and compliance requirements at all times
* Communicate any stock shortages, safety, or hazard issues promptly
* Deputise for the Sous Baker when required and take charge of kitchen operations
* Support, train, and guide junior chefs and trainees to foster a positive team culture
Experience and Qualifications
* 3 years' experience in the baking industry
* Minimum of 1 year experience in artisan breads
* A Cert III Retail Baking / Cert III Patisserie or similar
* Great bakery/patisserie product knowledge
* Great time management skills
