About the role
We are seeking a Service Technician to join our fast-growing team in Yatala. Our Service Technicians are responsible for installation & commissioning of new aluminium machinery, maintenance & breakdown servicing, and providing technical support to both staff and our customers.
This role will be primarily focusing on our base model saw ranges (KD, ACK) of our local customers based in Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
What you'll be doing
* Fault finding and basic diagnostics to repair a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems of our base model machinery.
* Scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown services of our base model machinery on-site.
* Installation & commissioning of new machines, as well as providing technical guidance and training to our clients' machine operators.
* Maintaining accurate service records and providing detailed reports on all jobs completed.
* Travelling interstate from time to time to perform installation & service works of our base model machinery.
* Assisting senior technicians when required.
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Candidate 'must haves'
* Must have experience as a field service technician or in a relevant trade: HVAC, Diesel Fitter, Mechanical/Machine Maintenance, Similar hands‐on technical roles.
* Must have a current QLD Open C class licence.
* Must have a current LF Forklift Licence.
* Must understand pneumatic systems.
* Must have electrical knowledge (training can be provided if not already qualified).
* Must have strong troubleshooting & problem‐solving skills with the ability to think critically and work under pressure.
