Detailed Audiologist Position
The Tasmanian State Government is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Audiologist to join their team. As part of the statewide audiology service, the successful applicant will provide high-level diagnostic and management services to adults and children referred to the service.
* Manages the daily operations of the audiology component of the cochlear implant program and newborn hearing screening program
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in paediatric assessment, management, and rehabilitation, including fitting and monitoring amplification and assistive technology. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Providing cochlear implant assessments and rehabilitation to children and adults
* Conducting infant diagnostic assessments
* Providing information and advice to patients and families on treatment options
