About This Role
This key position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in structural engineering, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for wind, solar, battery storage, pumped hydro, and utility projects.
* Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to relevant professional bodies.
* Experience: At least 10 years' experience in structural design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work.
Key requirements include strong knowledge of Australian Standards: AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995, and AS 1170. Experience in computer-aided design packages such as PLS Tower, PLS Pole is also essential.
Develop conductor loads for transmission and substation structures, apply Limit State design methods, analyze lattice towers, poles, gantries, and tower member connection detailing and design.
