We require a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join the project studies team to aid in the planning and delivery of a range of large complex international resource projects. ECG handles the electrical, power systems and controls automation scope while our friends at Lycopodium handle the SMP packages.
The Senior Electrical Project Engineer role will suit any engineering / construction or resource sector professional with 8 to 20+ years experience who has a passion for working in a major project environment and being a part of the team that pulls the projects together, then executes the strategy, from study and design through to construction commissioning and handover.
The ideal applicant will have solid cost reporting expertise as well as strong experience in electrical engineering packages. Your background in electrical construction will see you as integral to pulling our studies together in terms of constructability, estimates and manpower forecasting. The role will require strong organizational and communication skills, as you will be working in an occasionally frantic environment, where multiple projects are running across Australia and around the world.
Ideal Key Experience Required
* Major mineral processing project experience, both office and site
* Construction experience: understanding the processes and linkages
* Experience - exposure to the engineering environment and the process of creating, revising and issuing engineering drawings
* Exposure - understanding of the schedule
* Strong cost control / reporting expertise
* Experience - exposure to Project Controls and Planning & Estimating
* Experience in electrical engineering and associated plant and packages
Skills And Attributes Required
* B Eng Electrical, or Engineering / business / legal / construction economics degree
* Strong report writing and written communication skills
* Demonstrated cost control / reporting experience
* Moderate to good Excel and Project Wise knowledge
* Experience in Project Forecasting and Planning
* Tendering and Estimating experience
* Microsoft Office Experience specifically Excel, Word, Powerpoint
* Microsoft Project experience
* Ultra positive work attitude, keen to work in a fast‑paced role where organization is critical
