Full Time Position | Rutherford or Newcastle Location Currently undertaking or recent completion of a Degree in Engineering Opportunity to travel between sites as per project requirements The ProjectGenus is proud to be delivering a transformative infrastructure project as part of the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone (REZ)—one of the first five REZs being developed by the NSW Government.
In partnership with Ausgrid, Genus has been awarded a major contract to lead the sub-transmission line works that will power the future of clean energy in New South Wales.
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a $140 million infrastructure initiative that will enable over 1 gigawatt of renewable energy to connect to the grid, supporting Australia's clean energy transition and leaving a lasting legacy.
Demolition of 66kV sub-transmission lines to make way for modern infrastructure Construction of over 100 km of new 132kV dual/single circuit sub-transmission lines Installation of advanced optical ground wire and fibre optic cable systems A multi-year delivery program running through to 2028.
The RoleThe Graduate Project Engineer's purpose is to assist in the preparation, management, and monitoring of the engineering aspects of the project in accordance with Genus business objectives and goals.
ideal candidates Currently undertaking or recent completion of a Degree in Engineering(Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical).
Confident with Microsoft Software Packages.
Effective Communication Skills to liaise with all relevant stakeholders and teams.
Willingness to learn, show up and be part of team every day.
Willing to travel between sites as per project requirements.
Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
Strong work ethic & a can-do attitude.
Experience working in the telecommunications industry.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Capable of multi-tasking and delivering results within a high-volume work environment with minimal supervision.
Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in the workplace, and how to monitor/reduce HSE risk.
Australian Driver's Licence.
Permanent work rights in Australia.
