We are seeking medical professionals to join our anaesthesia team at Nepean Hospital.
Job Description
The successful applicants will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to research and education activities in the Department of Anaesthesia.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert anaesthetic services to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
* Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives in the department.
* Participate in teaching and supervising junior medical staff.
Requirements:
* Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or equivalent specialist recognition.
* Sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesia, demonstrated through successful clinical practice and participation in quality assurance activities.
* High level interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision, consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
Working Arrangements:
* The number of sessions will be by negotiation with the department.
* On Call is allocated on a pro rata basis.
* Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

Selection Criteria:
- Registration with AHPRA.

- Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research.
