Calvary John James Hospital New Graduate Program (GNTP) commencing February 2026. The role is New Graduate Registered Nurse at Calvary Health Care.

Role Summary
The GNTP runs across three areas: Medical, Surgical, and Rehabilitation wards. The program develops clinical practice principles that promote knowledge, skills, and behaviour transfer for life-long learning. It emphasises Calvary values of Hospitality, Healing, Stewardship, and Respect, and provides support, education, and mentoring to foster an atmosphere of Being for Others. The Nursing program comprises two rotations over 12 months (6 months in each area). There is no guarantee you will be placed in your first preference.

* Work within the GNTP to develop as a competent and confident Nurse and to facilitate professional adjustment to the workforce.
* Participate in ongoing learning and development tailored to your goals.

What you will be provided
* A dedicated Learning & Development Team of clinical facilitators and New Graduate preceptors.
* 3 full days of clinical orientation.
* 2 graduate-specific study days.
* Monthly clinical workshops.
* Supernumerary shifts on each rotation.
* Access to scholarships for postgraduate study.
What you bring
* Mandatory: Registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); willingness to learn clinical nursing skills including critical care; Australian or NZ Citizenship or the capacity to work permanently in Australia.
* Desirable: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team; ability to apply the Nursing Process in safe, evidence-based care in an acute care environment; commitment to a mission-based organisation; ongoing professional development.
