**Your Role**
You'll report to the General Manager and be accountable for the leadership, guidance and strategic planning in Electrical, Electronic and Control Systems input to maintain Capital Asset Projects. Daily responsibilities require you to:
- Evaluate the progress and performance of projects managed by the team and provide support and guidance during projects as required, in order to maintain the quality of project outcomes delivered
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Codes, Standards and Regulations
- Support projects undertaken by the mechanical engineering team and allocate team members to resource the projects as needed
- Manage, develop and maintain the Electrical, Electronic and Control Systems in-house design functions and manage external design consultancies, to align deliverables with business expectations
- Lead design risk assessment and safety and design assessments
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of cost estimates for engineering and associated works, to assist in capital and maintenance budgeting
- Ensure allocated projects are delivered within approved budgets
- Manage and maintain project management and contract templates in accordance with Australian standards
- Act as Project Manager on a portfolio of maintenance and capital works projects across Australia
- Manage projects from initial design through to construction and commissioning phases to final client handover
- Prepare clear and concise project descriptions, concepts, budgets, programmes and design briefs to enable projects to be executed by in-house or external resources as appropriate
- Prepare specifications, tender and contract documentation
- Lead and manage a team of Electrical engineers and maintain a work environment that encourages building effective relationships, and ensure direct reports are communicating efficiently among themselves and with the rest of the business
**Other Details**
The position is a Full-Time Permanent role, M-F and Remuneration Guide is circa $200K package + use of company vehicles via internal booking system.
**About You**
- You will have completed relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering, and at least 10 years' experience in a Senior Electrical Engineering position
- The ability to work to deadlines, at time under pressure, and experience in the Industrial Sector whereby Materials Handling is a core function of the business
- A commitment to Health, Safety and People Culture
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the desire to work closely with key stakeholders throughout the business and the field
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership and mentoring skills for a team of Electrical Engineers
- Sound experience in working to Australian Electrical Engineering Standards
- Project Management results
- Sufficient skills and experience in MS 365 Suite and reporting
