About the Role
Responsibilities include:
* Assist Court Liaison Officers in supporting young people in the youth justice system to engage, or reengage, with education and training.
* Provide support to young people and their families to ensure they are well informed of their available options relating to viable education and training pathways.
* Work with and support the needs of vulnerable young people from diverse and complex backgrounds, including First Nations young persons, young persons with disability and young persons in care.
* Support schools to interpret and enact departmental policies, practices and procedures relating to vulnerable young people to ensure they remain engaged in education.
