Picton Buslines is a dynamic, long-established bus operator in the growth area on the south-western outskirts of Sydney. Currently operating a fleet of thirty modern buses at Picton, serving the wider Wollondilly area and north into Camden, Narellan and Campbelltown.
About the Role
Due to a vacancy in our team, we are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or suitable 3rd or 4th year apprentice to join our modern, well-equipped maintenance facility in Picton on a full-time basis. Light vehicle mechanics willing to transition to heavy vehicles will also be considered.
You will have the opportunity to:
* Work across all areas of heavy vehicle maintenance in the bus industry, including diesel systems, engines, electrical and computerised systems, air conditioning and full driveline systems.

About You
The successful applicant will possess:
* A trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent — or be currently undertaking a Heavy Vehicle apprenticeship in their 3rd or 4th year.
* Proven hands-on experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical and computerised systems.
* A strong work ethic — reliable, punctual, honest and committed to quality workmanship.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A current driver's licence (MR or above preferred).
* Be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
