We are on the lookout for an experienced Network Engineer to join one of Australia's largest corporate networks. In joining Coles, you will gain the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, services, and solutions and offer ongoing support for complex issues across Coles' wider Voice and Data Network Support Team.
About the role
Reporting to the Team Lead – Network Services, you will provide technical expertise across complex and business-enabling initiatives and offer ongoing operational and project support across a large and complex network environment.
This role will see you become the catalyst in building and configuring the Coles Network. You will also provide Level 3 operational network support including changes, tasks, and incidents.
As the Network Engineer, you will offer operational and project support across Coles' large and mission-critical network. Joining a team of seasoned and highly experienced engineers, you will provide support through the lifecycle of large enterprise networks by working on business-critical issues across multiple offices, distribution centres, technical picking sites, and retail locations.
About You
You will be the main escalation point for Level 3 operational support related issues or service and provide the best network and network support experience to Coles' team members, and its partners and customers.
You'll have:
* In-depth knowledge of Cisco network technologies such as routing and switching - essential.
* Commercial expertise working across a large corporate network environment working on new projects, and offering Level 3 support across Cisco - essential.
* Knowledge in network automation using Python and network automation- essential
* A drive to learn and develop new skills across other network-related services and solutions.
* Experience in supporting management, stakeholders, and vendors across functional and technical issues.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Network Engineer with proven experience in supporting Level 3 operational initiatives. You will have proven capability in implementing and maintaining enterprise level network services in a large-scale, complex, and distributed business environment.
You are a self-motivated individual who thrives in a busy and complex operational network environment, while offering complex and system-critical support and advice across a large network and infrastructure.
You'll also need:
* Cisco CCNP or similar work experience
* Cisco technologies; SDWAN, SD-Access, Data Centre Switching, ACI, WAN, LAN, WIFI, Voice
* In depth understanding of network concepts (LAN/WAN/routing/switching)
* Knowledge in network automation using Python and network automation.
* Knowledge of Network management and monitoring tools.
* Experience in software testing and cisco software life management.
* Practical experience of DNS and DHCP technology changes
* Demonstrable technical end user service restoration skills
* The self-motivation, reliability, and proven ability to work as part of a technical team
* NETOPS would be advantages with associated programming skills
* Knowledge of Network Support tools; packet tracing, etc
