My client is launching an exciting new division dedicated to delivering full interior design services — and we're looking for a Workplace Design Manager to lead the way.
In this newly created role, you'll combine hands-on design with strategic leadership, playing a central role in crafting productive, stylish, and functional workplace environments.
This position is 80% design-focused, 20% leadership — ideal for a senior interior designer ready to take the next step.
What You'll Do:
Lead Concept Development: Take ownership of design direction, from concept through to construction documentation.
Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality and deadlines are consistently met.
Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their vision and deliver tailored design solutions that inspire.
Product Innovation: Collaborate with our product development team to help shape our furniture and workspace solutions.
Workplace Strategy: Use your market knowledge to influence interior strategies that support how people work best.
Mentor the Team: Provide support and guidance to junior designers, lifting team capability and performance.
Quality Control: Conduct site visits to ensure design intent is delivered with precision and care.
What You'll Bring:
8+ years' experience in commercial interior design, with a strong focus on workplace and fit-out projects.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design tools.
A strong understanding of workplace trends, materials, and spatial strategy.
Leadership experience, including mentoring and managing project teams.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and Australian industry standards.
Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design or a related discipline.
A compelling portfolio of workplace projects that demonstrate creative flair and technical capability.
