Job Title: Allied Health Professional
About the Role:
This position plays a key role in assisting physiotherapists and exercise physiologists to deliver high-quality patient care. The Allied Health Assistant will work closely with the healthcare team to recruit participants, supervise intervention delivery, monitor and report changes in participant health status, and document treatment in PERFORM records as directed by physiotherapists or exercise physiologists.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and organise intervention as prescribed by healthcare professionals
* Accurately maintain participant records
* Record sessions and undertake reception duties as required
Requirements:
* Must hold one of the following qualifications: Certificate III or higher qualification in Allied Health, Registered Nurse, Certified Fitness Instructor, or Personal Care; Diploma, Associate Diploma, or higher qualification in relevant health science area; Allied Health undergraduate student having completed a minimum of one year of study; or certificate courses in relevant health science areas
* Previous experience working within a hospital setting or with multidisciplinary health teams
* Clinical experience in Rehabilitation and Aged Care
* High level of English literacy and strong verbal and written communication skills
* Sound knowledge base of medical terminology
Desirable Skills:
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Advanced computer skills
* Previous supervisory experience and staff management
* Experience working with Allied Health Professionals
