Procurement Specialist Role
The position of Procurement Specialist is a critical role in ensuring effective and efficient procurement processes. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and assurance on procurement and contract matters.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing timely professional responses to advice requests and escalating sensitive or complex issues as required.
* Working collaboratively with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external entities to achieve service delivery outcomes.
* Contributing to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, templates, and standard operating procedures.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of the Commonwealth Government procurement framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and emerging Whole of Australian Government requirements.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work autonomously and flexibly, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.

About You
* Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Government procurement framework.
* Experience undertaking end-to-end procurement, reviewing and providing constructive advice on procurement plans, approval minutes, contracts, and evaluation reports.
* Ability to contribute to continuous improvement by updating intranet pages and delivering training.
* Effective management of several competing priorities and strategic directions.
