Mount Isa Mines is currently advertising a vacancy for the role of Supervisor – Light Vehicle, reporting to the Superintendent – Heavy Fleet Maintenance. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa, working a 7/7-day shift roster.
The Role
You will be responsible for leadership and supervision of your team and management of multiple tasks across all areas of the business. You will bring people together by encouraging input from key stakeholders and leading with a strong understanding of our vision for the future. You will be a positive driver of change and have the ability to effectively communicate across all work groups. As a safety leader, you will strive to foster safety citizenship and actively promote and support the Glencore Values.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicating accurate and relevant information and insight to line management on daily performance and against the weekly schedule.
* Ensuring shift handover is successfully managed.
* Proactively assessing and providing input and intelligence to asset planning on equipment to improve availability.
* Ensuring compliance with the weekly schedule to achieve established KPIs and forecast costs.
* Providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance with GFM policies, standards and procedures for the Maintenance Services team.
* Optimizing assigned resources and implementing continuous improvement to minimize cost and waste.
Qualifications & Experience
* Trade Qualified.
* S1, 2, 3 competency.
* Thorough knowledge of asset maintenance methodologies.
* Working knowledge of contemporary equipment.
* Demonstrated experience in the Light Vehicle Repair Industry.
* Five years underground mining experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for mining operations.
* Experience supervising and developing large work teams to deliver business outcomes.
