The Rates Officer role involves maintaining accurate and efficient rating records, providing high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers, and working closely with the team to achieve their goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend to rating enquiries received through various channels.
* Process change of addresses and ownerships in a timely and accurate manner.
* Assist with maintaining E-Rates notice registrations and processing direct debit payments.
* Investigate and respond to any written or verbal rating queries in a professional and courteous manner.
* Process eligible State Government rebate applications in accordance with established procedures.
* Assist with application of approved special rate payment arrangements.

* Well-developed computer and Microsoft software skills.
* High level of numeracy, clerical, and bookkeeping skills.
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
