What's the role?
There are now multiple opportunities to join our Fabrication Team as a Boilermaker on a permanent, full-time basis. We currently have both Nightshift and Dayshift roles available.
* Our Boilermakers are based in Toowoomba and have access to fantastic facilities.
* Our Boilermaker roles are not FIFO and do not require you to travel to mine sites.
* The Boilermaker role at RME is heavily safety focussed, producing exceptional work while ensuring the safety of yourself and others is our priority.
* This role is a key part of the manufacturing journey of RME's innovative Mill Relining equipment.
* Our Fabrication Team have wealth of experience in their Trades and are willing to continue learning and build their skill.
What are we looking for?
RME is looking for experienced Boilermakers who will use their knowledge and skills to contribute to the efficient fabrication of RME parts and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
* A positive attitude and a passion for team work
* Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement
* Effective communication skills
* Experience in flat plate fabrication, with the ability and desire to produce the highest-quality fabrications to AS1554 parts 1 and 4
* Experience with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
The ideal candidate may also possess:
* Post-trade certified in AS1796 certificates 7, 8G and 9
* Experience with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) or Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)

* Start on a rate of up to $47.50 per hour
* Enjoy a 9 Day Fortnight with every second Friday off

As a night-shift boilermaker at RME you will:
* Start on a rate of up to $61.73 per hour ($47.49 base plus 30% nightshift loading)
* Work a 4 day week, having every Friday night off
All RME boilermakers:
* Receive a new 3M Adflo Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) System.
* Receive brand new work boots and uniforms.
* Have the opportunity to work overtime when available
