Leading public sector client in the SE Suburbs are seeking a Sourcing Specialist for 6 months

**Your new role**
As a Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing internal category profiles, contributing to Category Risk Profiling, and leading the development and execution of sourcing strategies. You will negotiate and procure for a wide variety of spend categories, drive value for money outcomes, and ensure compliance with SEW internal governance policies and the Victoria Government Purchasing Board framework. You will mitigate supply chain and commercial risks while supporting broader environmental, social, and economic objectives to generate value beyond the procurement process.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To perform at a competent level in this role, you will have:
- Experience in sourcing strategy development and execution
- Sound knowledge in sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts
- Exposure to category management processes
- Experience and/or exposure in risk and compliance management as well as supplier management
- Sound stakeholder engagement capabilities and influencing skills
- Contract management exposure
- Advanced competency with procurement enterprise systems such as ERP systems - SAP, Oracle
- A degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement, or legal, or comparable professional education
- At least 3 years of working experience in procurement, ideally in the public sector
