Your new role
As a Statutory Planning Officer, you will assess and determine a range of development and subdivision applications in accordance with the Local Planning Scheme, Council policies and relevant legislation. You will provide clear, accurate planning advice to applicants, internal stakeholders and the community, support statutory planning projects, and undertake research as required. The role works closely with senior planners and contributes to meeting service standards and performance targets across the planning team.
What you'll need to succeed
A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline
Experience assessing development applications in a local government or consultancy setting
Working knowledge of statutory planning processes and planning schemes
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
The ability to manage workloads, meet timeframes and work collaboratively
A current C‑class driver's licence and police clearance
