Key Responsibilities
As part of this role, you will:
* Lead asbestos inspections and identify ACMs through sample collection, analysis, and detailed reporting in a NATA Accredited laboratory, in line with AS 4964 and AS 5370 standards.
* Operate sampling equipment in diverse environments including buildings and industrial facilities.
* Accurately identify and analyse asbestos samples using stereo and polarised light microscopy (PLM).
* Communicate effectively with clients and onsite personnel regarding inspections and findings.
* Prepare high-quality documentation and reports that meet NATA-accredited standards.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in asbestos testing.
* Proven experience using PLM and stereo microscopes for asbestos identification.
* A valid Australian Driver's Licence
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
* Prior experience working with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS 5370 (formerly AS 4964), or ISO 22262.
* Recent external proficiency testing advantageous
