Welcome to Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre
Nestled within the leafy grounds of the Kingston Centre in Heatherton, the Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre offers a state‐of‐the‐art, purpose‐built centre that is dedicated to comfort, dignity, and excellence in aged care. With 150 beds across four thoughtfully designed floors consisting of 15 bed houses, our modern infrastructure supports a warm, home‐like environment—tailored to meet the unique needs of every resident.
The home is supported by a diverse team of nursing professionals including Nursing Coordinators, Nurse Managers, Associate Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses, Graduate Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Healthcare Workers who all work collaboratively with our Nurse Managers and Facility Manager.
Located on the 3rd floor of Boollam Boollam Aged Care, Terrace Ward is a 30‐bed Ageing in Place unit featuring welcoming amenities, including a rooftop terrace where residents enjoy social gatherings and activities.
We currently have a Fixed Term opportunity (Long service leave replacement until 23rd August 2026) for an experienced Associate Nurse Manager at 70 hours per fortnight. We operate on a Fixed Roster, the roster available for this vacancy is Night Duty as per below:

About the Role:
As the Associate Nurse Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Manager/Nursing Coordinator to provide visible, hands‐on leadership across the nursing team. This includes supervising and mentoring Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Health Care Workers, ensuring clinical care is safe, effective, and in line with Aged Care Standards and organisational goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for;
* Supporting the Nurse Manager/Nursing Coordinator with team leadership and clinical oversight
* Mentor, supervise, and support nursing and care staff in daily practice
* Coordinate staff rosters, workload management, and delegation of duties
* Facilitate team meetings, performance reviews, and continuous learning
* Ensure adherence to OHS and Aged Care Standards, promoting a culture of safety and quality
* Support staff development through orientation, preceptorship, and succession planning
* Monitor and enhance care quality through audits, education, and clinical risk management
What You'll Bring:
* Valid NDIS Clearance and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Valid police check clearance including a renewal every 3 years
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Substantial clinical nursing experience, preferably in aged care
* Completion of a 12‐month supported graduate nurse program
* A commitment to safe, best‐practice nursing and quality improvement
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A proactive, flexible, and collaborative attitude
* Passion for person‐centred care and resident advocacy
* Compassionate, empathetic, and team‐oriented
