Trainer and Assessor - School Based Education Support
We are looking for an experienced VET Trainer and Assessor in School-Based Education Support to join our dynamic team. The role is ideally based in Toowoomba, QLD ; however, we also welcome applicants from Brisbane who are willing to travel to Toowoomba as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Experienced, adaptable, and student-focused trainer qualified to deliver and assess the CHC30221 Certificate III and CHC40221 Certificate IV in School Based Education Support (mandatory ), additionally holding a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (optional).
* Deliver high-quality training to students in both online and classroom environments.
* Participate in moderation and validation meetings to support quality and compliance.
* Collaborate with learners and provide tailored individual support.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with students, industry partners, and stakeholders.
To be Successful, you'll need to demonstrate:
Mandatory Requirements
* Possession of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 / TAE40116 or TAE40110 with TAEELLN401 and TAEASS502)
* Relevant qualifications at minimum to the level of course to be trained/assessed
* Minimum 3 years' industry experience applying the skills and knowledge directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided is a MUST
* Evidence of undertaking professional development and current Trainer Matrix to demonstrate.
* Current industry skills and in-depth content knowledge relevant to the training and assessment to be delivered
* Current knowledge and skills in vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
* Current Working with Children Check (employment engagement is dependent on approval)
* Current Queensland Driver's License
Skills and Knowledge
* Comprehensive understanding of the CHC30221 Certificate III and CHC40221 Certificate IV in School Based Education Support training packages, units of competency, and assessment requirements.
* Strong knowledge of VET sector standards, compliance obligations, and RTO documentation processes.
* Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and assess high-quality training in both online and face-to-face environments.
* Skilled in developing engaging learning resources, assessment tools, and differentiated learning strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Proven ability to support diverse learners, including those requiring additional academic or wellbeing assistance.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage training schedules, assessment deadlines, and administrative tasks.
* Competence in using digital learning platforms, LMS systems, and contemporary educational technologies.
* Commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and staying current with industry trends and educational practices.
* Ability to participate effectively in moderation and validation activities to ensure quality and compliance across training and assessment.
