6 Month Engagement | Healthcare / Digital Health
We're seeking a senior, hands-on Business & Process Transformation Consultant for a 6 month
contract to support two critical healthcare initiatives: a deep review of clinical and administrative
workflows, and a major operating model change as a government health partner transitions to a new Electronic Health Record (EHR).
This role is about thinking, designing and documenting better ways of working - not project admin.
You'll work at both strategic and operational levels with clinicians, operations, developers, executives and external health stakeholders to redesign workflows, reduce cost through smarter processes and identify credible opportunities for automation and AI.
What you'll do:
* Review and redesign end-to-end workflows across clinical and administrative teams
* Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, duplication and manual effort
* Design future-state workflows that improve efficiency, scalability and experience
* Propose practical automation and AI opportunities (you won't implement, but you must know what's possible)
* Gather and document requirements for new workflows tied to an EHR transition
* Work closely with internal SMEs, developers and external health stakeholders
* Produce clear documentation, executive-ready presentations and change materials
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in government health, hospitals, aged care or similar acute settings
* Strong workflow analysis and process redesign capability
* Experience supporting EHR or major clinical system changes
* Solid understanding of software, integrations and systems projects (without being hands-on)
* Confident stakeholder engagement - from frontline nurses to C-suite
* Strong written communication and documentation skills
* Experience working in short-term consulting or contracting roles
Nice to have:
* Exposure to telehealth or virtual care environments
* Understanding of consult variability, wait times and patient flow
This role is not for:
* Project Managers focused on plans and status reporting
* Purely technical architects or developers
* Junior Business Analysts without healthcare experience
