Our client is an industry leading wholesaler that is continuing to grow due to a commitment to innovation, quality and collaboration. With a workforce of approximately 30 and over 60 contractors, they endorse state of the art facilities in the northern suburbs and require an experienced and accomplished Contract Manager to join their operations.
About the Role
With the support of a tenured Senior Contract Administrator and reporting to a passionate COO, this newly created role will manage facilities and other project delivery contracts that underpin their growing operations. They are looking for an innovative and solutions focused Manager who can assess contract performance to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
This role is Monday-Friday, 38-hour week (flexible hours), 100% office based, free parking on site.
Duties
Some of your key duties will include:
* Develop, review, and negotiate the existing facility management contract to ensure alignment with organisational goals and risk mitigation
* Evaluate contract proposals, identify potential cost savings, and optimise contract terms
* Resolve contract disputes and claims promptly and effectively through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration.
* Manage a portfolio of project delivery contracts (e.g., construction, fit-out, equipment supply/installation, consultancy) from tender/procurement through to final completion and close-out.
* Conduct regular performance reviews with contractors to assess service delivery and compliance, and implement corrective actions as necessary
Skills & Experience
To be a successful candidate you must have:
* Previous experience in end-to-end contract management, in particular managing a facilities management contract - essential
* Strong understanding of contract law, procurement principles, and facility management practices.
* Previous experience managing a direct report/s
