About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team at our clinic located within the St John of God Hospital, Midland.
Work hours will be scheduled between 8.00am and 4.30pm. Flexibility is required with start and finish times to meet clinic requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
* Provide efficient administrative support to the Cardiologist and other staff at our practice.
* Ensure the practice is opened and closed in a timely manner, while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation, including well prepared consulting rooms.
* Welcome and assist patients and visitors - offering exceptional customer service, empathy and care.
* Correspond with patients to coordinate appointment details, changes, referrals, and necessary tests.
* Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, directing them to the appropriate parties.
* Enter patient details into the system with exceptional accuracy.
* Clearly inform patients about all associated costs and fees, as well as payment timelines.
* Process patient accounts accurately and efficiently.
* When required, assist with typing medical letters and transcribing doctor's dictation using our digital system, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
* Undertake general office duties as required.
This is a highly dynamic and busy role within a supportive and friendly team. The ability to multitask and work under pressure is essential.
About You:
* Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
* Minimum 1 year of medical reception experience is required.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Previous experience in processing accounts would be ideal.
* Proficiency in practice management software.
* Experience with any medical software is required.
