About the role
Lighthouse Christian College in Keysborough, VIC is seeking a Casual Relief School Nurse to join their team. This is a casual role which will involve providing essential nursing services to students and staff on an as‐needed basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the school community.
What you'll be doing
* Providing first aid and emergency care to students and staff
* Administering medications as required
* Monitoring student health conditions and implementing care plans
* Maintaining accurate medical records and student health files
* Liaising with parents, teachers and other healthcare professionals
* Supporting the implementation of the school's health and safety policies
* Assisting with health promotion and education initiatives
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a community nursing or school nursing role
* Strong knowledge of first aid, emergency care and medication management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proactive, organized and detail‐oriented approach
* Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school community
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory
* Bachelor of Nursing qualification is required
