Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue – Ocean Reef WA
As a Marine Rescue Crew Member, you'll receive hands‐on training in boat handling, basic navigation, towing, marine radio operation, search and rescue, and a wide range of other maritime skills. As you gain experience and complete training levels, there are opportunities to progress all the way to Marine Rescue Skipper, should you wish and have the ability.
Crew members share all duties on the vessel, including time at the helm – giving you the chance to learn to drive a Marine Rescue boat and take part in rescue operations.
To ensure timely response to after‐hours callouts, it is preferred that applicants live within 20 minutes of Hillarys Boat Harbour.
