Job Description

The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall business and management of our affiliate in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to join a global pharmaceutical company and lead the affiliate in its mission to deliver transformative therapies to patients who need it the most.

As a General Manager, you will provide strategic direction and effective management to ensure a strong team working culture so that the business achieves its ambitious performance objectives and systems and procedure keep pace. This includes ensuring the achievement of company objectives and profit targets and the success of new multiple product launches, from marketing vision and strategy to implementation.

The GM ANZ will interface effectively with the relevant global divisions to maximize lifecycle opportunities for products both locally and at a global level. The position will also be a member of the ACE (Australia-Canada-Europe) leadership team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Skillset:

* Matured significant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in sales and marketing, new product launches, leading cross-functional teams.
* Proven track record of leading a business within the specialty pharma space and hands-on experience in an operational management position either as Operations Director or Division Head or General Manager in Australia.
* International experience at above country regional or global, possibly in an Anglo-Saxon/US group.
* Advanced experience with proven track record in product launch and lifecycle management, especially in the context of specialty products.
* Strong financial skills with a proven ability to manage the standalone P&L and balance sheet at the local level.

Desirable Qualifications:

* Entrepreneurial mindset with bias toward action and result orientation.
* Charisma and display personal and professional maturity.
* Data-driven analysis and decision-making with knowledge and ability to manage key data, operations, and issues of the business.
* Science-driven, scientific acumen, and deep understanding of the therapeutic medical needs, fully conversant with financials and managing a balance sheet.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to gain credibility, engender trust, and influence all levels.
