**Where you'll be working**:
Wiyillin ta, as part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and Yimamulinbinkaan Aboriginal MHS and SEWBWorkforce (YAMHS), are seeking a Team Leader who is passionate about improving the mental health and social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, adolescents and families. This position will work across Awabakal and Wonnarua lands and involves working closely with a dedicated team of multi-disciplinary mental health professionals. You will be supported and collaborate with staff from Wiyillin Ta, CAMHS & YAMHS and will include close collaboration with local Aboriginal medical services and Aboriginal community controlled sectors to ensure a holistic, culturally sensitive approach to care and an ability to provide a wraparound support response.

You will be supported culturally and professionally by a large Aboriginal mental health workforce who connect daily in clinical and wellbeing huddles as well as monthly networking meetings. You will be supported by the CAMHS clinical governance framework and connect regularly to routine clinical multidisciplinary team reviews as well as access to child and adolescent training development. You will also be supported by the Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Cultural clinical supervision framework to ensure your success in this position. This is one of our strategies in HNE mental health service to achieve sustainable employment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the public health sector. As an employee you will be able to take 4 hrs a month to reconnect back to culture and maintain your spiritual wellbeing and be paid for it.

**About the role**:
You will be part of a Deadly team, that is a specialised Aboriginal mental health service committed to helping the local community access mental health services and work with the children/young people and their parents/carers/family and their communities. And provide high quality culturally appropriate mental health assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation services for children/ young people and their families using best practice principles associated with collaborative partnerships with consumers, families, the multidisciplinary team and other key stakeholders.

**About you**:
You will have the ability to work in collaboration with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Leadership Team and YAMHS Leadership team to ensure the provision of culturally safe clinical care that is inclusive and responsive to Aboriginal Community's needs. You will be passionate about improving mental health and sustaining the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children/young people and their parents/carers/family and their communities. Additionally, you will enjoy working in a community setting to provide culturally appropriate support, advocacy and consultation for our people accessing the services of Hunter New England Mental Health. You will be dedicated to create a culturally safe and supportive environment within the team and model self-care.
