About the Role
In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of engaging training focused on cooking, healthy snacks, meal planning, and everyday living skills. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll support students to achieve individual goals while fostering independence, confidence, and wellbeing within a supportive boarding college environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, flexible training in cooking, healthy eating, meal planning, and independent living skills
* Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of training programs and learning activities
* Adapt delivery methods and resources to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
* Build positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues to support effective learning outcomes
* Model appropriate personal and professional behaviours and reinforce expected standards within the learning environment
* Apply a risk-aware, duty-of-care approach to student support and behaviour management
* Accurately maintain records, reports, and training documentation in line with organisational requirements
* Participate in meetings, activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that support program success
About You
You are an adaptable and learner-focused professional who brings both structure and enthusiasm to training environments. You communicate effectively, work well in a collaborative team, and are committed to supporting student growth and independence.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE or equivalent)
* Experience delivering training and assessment in practical, skills-based environments
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and engagement skills
* Effective time management, planning, and record-keeping capabilities
Desirable
* Qualification in Cookery (Certificate or Diploma)
* Experience working with young people or in a boarding, education, or support-based setting
Mandatory Requirements
* Current right to work in Australia
* Valid Working With Children (Blue) Card
* Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance
* Current open driver’s licence
* Current First Aid certificate
