The Role
As a Caseload Midwife within the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), you will provide continuity of care for a dedicated group of 35–40 women across all risk levels. Based at Thursday Island Hospital and serving surrounding remote communities, you will offer a high-level, culturally appropriate service spanning pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postnatal period (up to six weeks).
This role emphasizes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners and medical teams to ensure best-practice care and health education for women and their families.
