System Engineer (Multiple Levels)

Green Light is a growing consulting organisation known for its work in Telecommunications and System Integration Services organisations. We have a requirement with our client partner for System Engineers to join their team on a 12-month assignment
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, integration, and sustainment of maritime electronic warfare systems for defence use.
- Engineer rugged, high-availability hardware for naval environments.
- Perform systems engineering activities including requirements definition, system integration, and verification & validation.
- Develop and manage specifications and interface documentation using DOORS.
- Maintain traceability of requirements and contribute to verification through documentation, analysis, and testing.
- Drive engineering change proposals and problem resolution processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on ship infrastructure planning and system certification.
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations for design reviews.
Requirements:
- Must have an existing AGSVA NV1 security clearance (mandatory).
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or related discipline).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in systems engineering.
- Proficiency in system design, integration, and testing.
- Skilled in using DOORS for requirements management.
- Familiarity with systems engineering standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 15288, EIA-632).
- Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, CATIA Magic) is desirable.
- Background in defence or similar industries is preferred.
- Ability to lead engineering tasks and apply system safety and security principles.
