Daily Rate: $800-$900/day
Contract till 30th June 2026 with 3 additional 6-month extensions

Join the Fleet Information Environment (FIE) Modernisation Project – a mission‑critical Defence program delivering secure, cyber‑resilient ICT systems (Minerva) to support the Royal Australian Navy's operations at sea and ashore.
We're looking for a Technical Officer – Hardware to support the lifecycle of Minerva hardware systems, from deployment and diagnostics to upgrades and secure operations across deployed environments.
Role Highlights
* Provide technical support for hardware across Dell, HP, Cisco environments
* Diagnose & resolve hardware issues; coordinate warranty repairs
* Support hardware deployment, patching, and maintenance under Defence protocols
* Collaborate with support & ILS teams to maintain serviceable stock and SOPs
* Assist with set‑to‑work activities and training of shipboard CIS teams
* Work under DDIL constraints to maintain system functionality
Skills & Experience
* Highly developed knowledge of ICT Hardware, ICT Vendor Warranty Processes, and Hardware Asset Management
* Excellent communication & documentation skills
* Desirable: Familiarity with Cisco, HYCU, Red Hat, Elastic, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Minerva systems
Requirements
* NV2 clearance (or ability to obtain)
* Must comply with ITAR regulations
* On-call rotation participation required
* DSN access required – no WFH
