Overview 
We are seeking a 
Pavement Quality Technician 
for our Eastern Region Surfacing teams. This is a permanent full-time role that will require regular travel and work during nights and weekends through our peak season. 
What's on offer 
As a Pavement Quality Technician, you will monitor asphalt compaction for density testing and perform field testing of asphalt. 
Responsibilities 
Communicating with the Site Engineer and Supervisor for daily duty assignments. 
Work with the Asphalt Paving Foreman and Roller Operators on roller patterns to achieve optimum compaction through a Pavement Quality Indicator (PQI). 
Troubleshoot, identify, correct, and prevent quality control issues, together with reporting and record keeping. 
Qualifications and experience 
Ideally, experience in the surfacing and production of asphalt; any civil or materials background is advantageous. 
Strong commitment to safety, effective communication skills, a valid driver's licence, and basic computer skills.
