Do you enjoy helping students discover the joy of reading and research? Newcastle Grammar School is looking for a dedicated and organised Library Assistant to join our team! Within this varied role you will be responsible for a range of tasks including: Operating the library help desk to provide welcoming customer-focused support and guidance. Assisting students and staff with selecting, borrowing and returning library resources. Administrative duties including exam printing, photocopying and covering books. Encouraging students to use the library to its fullest potential through getting to know students and their interests, and personal recommendations. Assisting with inventory management including ordering, stocktaking, weeding of damaged, outdated books. Accessioning and cataloguing of new resources, including management of the Oliver database. Assisting with library events as required e.g. book week, WABIAD. Maintaining cleanliness of the library including shelving books, resetting of furniture and general. Student supervision as required including recess and lunchtime.
