As a Last Point of Departure Officer (LPOD), contribute to the safety and efficiency of airport operations through detailed screening, access control, and customer support.About the RoleReporting to the Site Manager, the LPOD Officer helps manage access at international boarding gates, conducts thorough searches, and monitors restricted areas.
This hands-on position protects the integrity of international flights in line with established security and regulatory standards.Permanent Part-time positions available plus Team Leader positions.
Responsibilities
Complete thorough screening and inspections of property, catering items, and aircraft.
Oversee access control and verify travel documentation at designated checkpoints.
Record and maintain accurate security logs.
Provide professional customer service, assist with lost property, and respond to queries.
Support health, safety, and operational procedures, including regular training and compliance activities.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
Ability to obtain an ASIC Card.
Security Licence (relevant state or territory).
Effective communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work various shifts.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
Customer service experience, preferably in regulated environments or aviation security.
Desirable:
Previous experience in airport security or similar settings.
