Reporting to the Inventory Control Team Lead, the Analyst, Inventory Control will support inventory control activities across PNG operations to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to support maintenance execution and operational reliability.
This role sits within a highly collaborative and autonomous team environment supporting one of the more complex mining supply chains in the industry. Working across fixed plant, mobile maintenance and supply chain functions, you will play a key role in inventory analysis, stocking strategy, critical spares reviews and process improvement initiatives.
The role offers exposure to a unique PNG operational environment where stakeholder engagement, analytical capability and sound decision‐making are critical to success.
As part of our team you will
* Analyse inventory levels and supply data to support replenishment and stocking strategies across PNG operations
* Support inventory optimisation activities including critical spares reviews, obsolescence analysis and working capital management
* Partner with operations, maintenance and supply chain stakeholders to support inventory performance and operational reliability
* Utilise SAP, Excel and inventory planning tools to support reporting, forecasting and inventory decision‐making
* Coordinate cataloguing and material master activities with internal and global procurement teams
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across inventory control, supply chain processes and systems
Prerequisites for your success in the role
* Experience in inventory control, materials management or supply chain roles within mining, heavy industry or heavy automotive environments
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret inventory data and make informed stocking decisions
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using SAP, ideally across MM and PM modules
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities within a highly transactional environment
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations professionally
* Experience with IBM MRO / Optimizer MRO systems will be highly regarded
* Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline will be advantageous
Your work environment
This permanent full‐time role will be offered on a flexible hybrid working arrangement and is ideally suited to candidates based in Brisbane. Occasional ad hoc travel to PNG operations may be required.
