Technical Librarian
Key Role in Information Management
This position involves managing technical resources, including books, journals, and electronic media. The successful candidate will be responsible for cataloging and maintaining technical documents and archives, assisting users in finding technical resources, and providing research assistance.
Implementing Efficient Systems
* The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and managing library management systems and databases.
* They will also be responsible for ensuring that all installations and repairs meet or exceed set standards.
Fostering Collaboration and Communication
The Technical Librarian will facilitate team communication, ensuring clear and consistent information is shared with project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Must be a US or Australian Citizen.
* Must possess a US TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
* An Associate degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field is required.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in managing a technical library or similar resources is essential.
* Strong organizational and IT skills are necessary.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
* The successful candidate must have attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
* Adaptability and strong decision-making skills are also necessary.
