Due to continued company growth, they are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their successful accounting firm.
The Position...
In this position, you will be an excellent all-rounder Intermediate Accountant (or a Junior with experience working with individual tax returns) to work in a face-to-face tax preparation context.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
• Liaising with clients
• Dealing with the ATO and client inquiries and objections
• Preparation of Individual and Business tax returns (also BAS and IAS).
• Accessing the ATO Portal
• Providing basic tax-related client advice
The Ideal Candidate...
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* A degree in Accounting
* A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in accounting or equivalent experience
* H&R Block Tax Preparation course or similar completion (desirable)
* Experience with any tax preparation package.
* Sound understanding of taxation law principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Experienced in using accounting software for end-to-end tax preparation.
* High organization skills as well as having the ability to work autonomously
