Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with our global team of experts within a large and well-established international consultancy, giving you the opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work, project management and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Structural design of buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting.
* Working collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
* Project management and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery.
* Working as part of a team on projects from conception, through to final design and construction surveillance.
Requirements:
* A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* A minimum of 8-12 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
* Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
* Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
* Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
