About the Role
Full‐time, non‐ongoing, 12‐month position (APS6, $88,834 – $96,829 + 15.4 % superannuation). The Museum Events and Programs Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of museum‐led internal events, programs, and activations. The role supports internal clients, stakeholders, and public‐facing initiatives, ensuring seamless execution that meets client briefs and safety regulations. The Coordinator serves as the central point of contact for event planning, logistics, vendor coordination, venue bookings (via Sydney Restaurant Group), set‐up, and post‐event reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee the planning of museum‐led internal events, programs, and activations from concept to completion.
* Ensure seamless execution that meets client briefs, expectations, and museum policies.
* Serve as the central point of contact, providing direction, support, and communication to internal clients and stakeholders.
* Manage venue bookings through the Sydney Restaurant Group and oversee event set‐up.
* Coordinate vendors, logistics, and administration, including related reporting.
* Ensure adherence to work‐health and safety requirements and compliance with museum policies and safety regulations.
* Maximise venue utilisation while preserving the museum's integrity and visitor experience.
Qualifications & Eligibility
* Australian citizenship required; Australian permanent residents in the process of acquiring citizenship may be considered.
* Strong planning and event‐coordination skills with demonstrable experience in event management, logistics, and vendor coordination.
* Knowledge of work‐health and safety requirements and ability to ensure compliance.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‐solving skills.
* Successful completion of an Australian Federal Police National Police Check and ongoing Working with Children Check registration.
