The Chief Financial Officer Division is responsible for the development and maintenance of budgets, financial management, and for providing strong operational finance, procurement, supply chain and performance reporting and decision support analysis across the health service. The sub-units within the CFO branch include the Financial Operations and Support Unit, Revenue and Financial Services, Patient Accounts, Decision Support and Procurement & Supply.
The Senior Director – Revenue and Hospital Financial Services is a leadership and management position that has primary responsibility for managing the functions and leading the Revenue and Hospital Financial Services team.
The Revenue and Hospital Financial Services team provides revenue management support, advice and services including administration of the Private Practice Fund (PPF) schemes, Medical Education Expenses (MEE), Special Purpose Accounts (SPA) and the Interstate Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (IPTAS). The team is also responsible for revenue billing, debt collection, cashier services, receipting, VMO claims audit and superannuation payments.
This role will lead and manage initiatives that will enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of Canberra Health Services, focusing on revenue monitoring, assurance, optimisation, system and process improvement.
