Alinta Energy is one of Australia's biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. We are seeking a Wind Project Developer to drive the advancement of multiple onshore wind projects within our growing portfolio.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead wind projects from early-stage development to ready-to-build. This includes planning, environmental approvals, resource assessment, grid connection, and procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with landholders and engaging with local communities.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead wind projects through the development process, ensuring they meet key milestones and deadlines.
* Serve as a key interface with partners and external stakeholders, maintaining strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Manage project budgets and assess the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), ensuring commercial viability.
* Procure and manage external consultants for planning, grid connection studies, and other development activities.
Your Experience
* A relevant degree in commerce, engineering, environmental science, planning, or a related field.
* Proven experience in renewable energy development or a related field, such as investment, wind engineering, or environmental planning.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with landowners, consultants, and investors.
* Proven problem-solving and wind project management expertise, with experience implementing best practices.
