Leading Hand Bricklayer / Working Supervisor
Experienced leading hand bricklayer to join construction team and help deliver high‑standard project homes efficiently and safely.
Working alongside the Bricklaying General Manager. Mentor and coach a team of up to 12 trainee bricklayers. Share industry experience and passion.
Hands‑on bricklayer who leads by example, maintains strong workmanship standards, and communicates clearly and patiently.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the General Manager of Bricklaying to develop trainee bricklayers and the overall bricklaying team to reach monthly targets for production and quality.
Lead, supervise, and mentor bricklaying teams on‑site.
Plan, coordinate, and allocate daily work to maintain efficiency and site productivity.
Read and interpret building plans and engineering drawings accurately.
Ensure site safety, quality control, and compliance with company standards.
Work closely with Site Supervisors, other trades, and subcontractors to meet build timelines.
Maintain a consistent and productive pace.
Lay bricks, blocks, and masonry units to meet WA project home quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Proactive mindset.
Minimum 2 years' experience in residential brick and block laying in Western Australia.
Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or equivalent trade qualification.
Recognised international qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2) considered.
Proven leadership skills – previous experience as a Leading Hand or Working Supervisor highly recommended.
Strong communication and teamwork skills – essential when working within a diverse crew.
High attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and a focus on safety.
Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
