About the Role
As a casual Townsville City Council Veterinary Surgeon, you will contribute to the care of all animals in the animal care and adoption centre. This position will assist with managing the vet clinic with an emphasis on infectious disease control and prevention, animal care, medical consultations and centre surgeries.
This role focuses on the animals as your clients with limited medical consultations.
As a Townsville City Council Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the community and the animal industry to promote the responsible pet ownership messages of Council, and support the implementation of key programs across the community.
Hours available include Saturday mornings 3-4hrs, Mondays and every second Friday (hours negotiable).
Assist with overall animal care at the Animal Care and Adoption Centre.
Recordkeeping in accordance with relevant legislation.
Schedule procedures.
Reorder clinic medicines and equipment in line with budget requirements.
About You
Our ideal applicant will have exceptional governance practices including recordkeeping in accordance with relevant legislation, scheduling procedures, reordering of clinic medicines and equipment in line with budget requirements, while assisting with overall animal care at the Animal Care and Adoption Centre.
