Streamlining Business Processes for a World-Class Education System
The Department for Education is committed to delivering high-performing, world-class information and communication services. To achieve this goal, the Digital Platforms team is working to revamp existing business systems and processes into streamlined user-friendly workflows that enable simplified configuration and seamless integrations.
This role plays a pivotal part in the Digital Platforms team's efforts, overseeing the development and implementation of various user experience journey reforms. These initiatives will inform critical strategic decisions on the future delivery of services to corporate offices, schools, and preschools, benefiting staff across the state.
The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with project business and technical analyst staff, business and technical subject matter experts, potential vendors, and external service providers to deliver a unified options analysis in accordance with the project plan and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver a thorough business and technical analysis of multiple existing systems and journeys, including associated processes and systems.
* Produce detailed user journey maps, business and technical process mapping, specifications, and requirements for both current and future systems via discovery processes.
Requirements:
* Degree or other qualification in information technology/business or relevant industry (desirable).
Benefits:
* A competitive salary package of ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.

Additional Information:
* The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
* The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN – EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
