THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently looking for an experienced underground leading hand fitter to join our Sunday Creek Mine in Victoria!
Working autonomously as well as part of a team and ensuring a high quality of work, you expand your experience and knowledge of underground fitting. This position will be a hands‐on leading role and will involve both providing supervision and being on the tools.
This is a full‐time position on a 2 / 2 FIFO roster with a travel allowance and meal allowance provided. This role has various points of hire across all major cities in Australia.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
* Trade qualifications – Diesel Fitter trade (Essential)
* Have proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (Essential)
* Experience with CAT and Volvo equipment (Advantageous)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A positive can‐do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
* A strong focus on safety
* Hold a current Australian Driver's License
* Strong leadership skills
* Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
